About this coffee:

2024 crop. Produced by Tamrat Alemayehu washing station and surrounding farmers from Kochere town, in Yirgacheffe Ethiopia. 

Tastes like: Peach, Honeysuckle, Jasmine.

YirgZ is back on the menu and tasting great.  This coffee is named after the intense sorting process, going well beyond the standards of GR1 Ethiopian coffee quality.  Kochere town has some of the best growing conditions in all of Ethiopia, and all of the heirloom trees are well established here.  We are so excited to share this fantastic example of a washed Ethiopian coffee from Kochere with you!

Local Pick Up:

You’ll receive an email when your order is ready for pickup.  Orders placed before 8am on Tuesday will be available to pick up after 6am on Wednesday.  Orders placed before 8am on Thursday will be available to pick up after 6am on Friday.

USPS Shipping:

If we receive your order before 8am on a Tuesday or Thursday, we will ship on the next day via USPS Priority Mail.  If we receive your order after 8am on a Tuesday or Thursday the order will ship the following shipment day.

Good stuff

So many factors go into making good coffee— altitude, weather, soil, care in harvesting, care in shipping, careful hand roasting, fresh to the consumer. This Yirgacheffe has it all — lightly roasted in small batches and delivered with a few days of roasting so it’s at its peak. Ethiopians invented coffee, and they’re still good at it. Farmers Union is great at roasting. This particular coffee is smooth with notes of peach and jasmine
